The Annual Ohio Problem Gambling Conference: Mitigating Harm, Maximizing Effectiveness will be held Feb. 28-March 1, 2019 at the Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center in Lewis Center, OH. On Thursday, the conference will feature keynote speaker Dr. Rachel Volberg, PhD, BA, BCE, Research Associate Professor, University of Massachusetts. Dr. Volberg is an internationally known researcher and expert on gambling and problem gambling. Her experiences and perspective will appeal to both Prevention and Treatment disciplines.

The Friday morning featured speaker is Cheryl Mahoney, MEd, LSW, LICDC, Manager of EAP Plus, South Community Inc. in the Miami Valley area. Dr. Mahoney presents an intense look at gaming, screen engagement and overlap with potential gambling addiction. Both conference days will be rounded out by state and national experts in Prevention, Treatment and Recovery related to Gambling Disorder, including a new focus on faith-based intersections. The afternoon of March 1st will offer three different opportunities for additional CEUs:Prevention Ethics, Treatment Ethics, and QPR Training (3 CEUs each).
