The legislators at the Ohio Statehouse are an important and crucial ally to prevention. Not only do they appropriate funds for prevention across the state, but they also are responsible for setting policies that support the health and wellness of all Ohioans. Opening a conversation with your legislator about the importance of preventing substance misuse and promoting mental health wellness helps them to understand its role in protecting everyday Ohioans.

We at Prevention Action Alliance host Advocacy Day every year to help coalitions, colleges, universities, youth leaders, adult allies, and families grieving lost loved ones to advocate for prevention with your legislator. We will provide the logistics, tools, data, and resources to aid you in your advocacy efforts and can even schedule appointments with your legislator on your behalf. You pick the topic you want to advocate on behalf of and can bring your own materials and resources as well.

Registration for this event is not yet live. To sign up for emails from Prevention Action Alliance announcing this and other training opportunities, please fill out the form below.
