Stage 1 Foundations in Disordered Gambling, offered in Cambridge, OH, December 14-15, 2017, will increase the participants’ knowledge and understanding of the disease of gambling addiction and will prepare the practicing clinician to work with problem and disordered gamblers and their families. Specific topics including warning signs, co-morbidity, screening/assessment, and cultural components of gambling will be discussed. Trainers will be Mike Rosen, LPCC-S and Katie Shaw, LPCC, LICDC, both of Center for Addiction Treatment, Cincinnati. Doors will open at 8:30 am for sign-in, networking and continental breakfast. The training will begin promptly at 9:00 am. This training will provide 12 CEUs over two days for social workers, counselors, and gambling counselors as well as 12 RCHs for chemical dependency and prevention professionals.
